Notification of a disconnected circuit

Do I need to notify the disconnection of a shower circuit?

I have disconnected and made safe at the consumer unit and confirmed at the business end that the circuit is de-energised.

If I do need to notify, on what basis am I doing so? Alteration in a special location?

Sage advice/experience would be appreciated and I don't mind my ribs being tickled a bit!

Notify the person who's house it is or they will be very angry when the can't have a shower later

Other than MEs notification, I do not think Building Control will be interested as at the end of the job there is no circuit in the bathroom.

Just to clarify, notification is not required for disconnection of circuits as there is nothing with which to comply.
