Obviously a new pup
Maybe just run them through with an M5 tap?
This was also my line of thought. Usually when you go to the trouble of sourcing the correct imperial threaded screws you'll just find you're no better off because some animal has previously forced an oversized self-tapper into the hole.I have seen wood screws jammed in the holes and rarely have I seen 2 screws in any conduit box

Not sure what a 'dwang' is but I assume it's a tap holder. If it's on site and easily accessible I usually just use my small battery drill or I have ratchet tap-holders if it's in the workshop.
Lol, sounds like a made-up Geordie word to me
Now that brings back memories!! The old brass BA was a damned good system. Still have a complete sets of BA ring, open jaw, and box spanners somewhere!!
i still got BA taps and dies from schooldays.
