this one of mine is very useful when you have several cables at a switch and you need to ID perm L, sw.L etc. the conductor has to be in the forked end to activate it, so it don't pick up on adjacent cables when it shouldn't. obviously not suitable for safe isolation,

Not seen one like that Tel, as a tool tart where did you get it
 
in the cap is an insert for the fork end so it woks like a "normal" one.
