Gotta fit some outdoor sockets for my lad, I'm paying!

So which would you fit BG or LAP?

Or should I not be so much of a tight arse?

Sorry, forgot to mention, gotta do it today and getting them from Screwfix. So its BG, LAP or ......................................................MK

Out of those, not Lap :D
The BG ones are fine for a budget choice. I have a MK masterseal that is doing just fine after 15 years in my garden though.

BG are fine. i have a BG and a timeguard at home. both RCD sockets. the timeguard one failed RCD test @ x1, to be fair, though it's been in 8 years.

Yup. what Andy says. If I was doing it and LAP was the only option, I'd try and fashion my own socket out of bark and moss.

Fitted a few BG ones only because the MK ones were just too expensive even with a reasonable discount, easy to fit had no complaints or had to replace any yet. If it was for me MK.

Mrs Pirate got me to fit an outdoor socket last week...basically it's just a bit of steel tube you put in the ground and you pop your whirlie in it to get your clothes nice and dry...
It's not branded or anything fancy, just a bit o' pipe.
