Hi all

looking for a bit of advise on an outside light switch. It was covered by a blank socket plate. There's a few wires in there and was wondering which goes where as it keeps flipping the rcb.

how do you know that that is the problem?

Sorry may not be the problem. Just when connected to the light spur and when switched on. The down light fuse flips. I'll check the actual light unit tomorrow when it's light. Was like this when I moved in so was just covered up as a quick fix I think.

it's either a fault with the wiring or you've connected it wrong. need to call in a local electrician who will have the necessary equipment to identify which wire does what.
