Hi

I've got a roof to do a quote for, part of which is on an old part of the house which is about 4m wide. It has recently been re-roofed but still retains the old 'sag.' Over the 4m, it probably sags about 50-60mm at the centre. Now, I could discount that part of the roof but it could take up to four panels and make it more worthwhile for the customer.

So, if my structural engineer approves the roof for the loadings etc, can anyone suggest fixings/brackets that could be used to level out that kind of sag? I know brackets have some vertical adjustment, but the roof sag is a bit more than the brackets allow for.

Thanks

Mike

Schletter have a whole range of different size rails that can span different distances, you also need adjustable fixings that can accomodate different mounting heights, also available from Schletter . If you try to span it in one, you will end up putting high point loads (dead and uplift) in the worng places and the mounting points won't be strong enough.

You'll need to be VERY careful with wind uplift with large varying gaps under the panels.

Schletter have a UK based team that you can call and they will advise you.
