1CB8FDE2-E4E8-4020-B36F-170567D4C676.png Work in a plastic bag manufacturing company. Perforated spark detector which counts bags has gone kaput. I think it’s the inductor which generates 10kv volt through bag perforation which then sends the signal back to the counter is faulty.

Can’t find replacement board. New ones too expensive for company to afford.

Any ideas where can I get this part of the board? Will help greatly. Picture attached.

That’s the trouble can’t even get the board. It’s an old machine. So just need this part and hopefully board should work. Just need to know where to get it from?

I can't see how it is driven but check the power transistor and its driver transistor, any electrolytics and fusible resistors in that area and primary tuning capacitors. Anything that disrupts the drive waveform can push the output transistor into excessive dissipation and kill it. I can't tell what type of EHT rectification is in there if any; take care if it is diode-split, it might hold a charge for hours after switch-off.

It might be the same part that is used in a large photocopier, printer or other application for which spares are still available. You might have some luck trawling parts catalogues for any other devices that use EHT.
