customers who gripe at £300 for a full day changing a CU, testing, rectifying IR and shared neutral faults, when " i can get one from B&Q for £50.

Getting blamed by a jobs worth that knows sod all for a battery UPS dying the morning after the night of an EICR inspection in a completely different area and DB of a factory!!

turning up on site to find you have no toilet because the previous tenant has trashed the place, then having to knock on the neighbours door when your boss has upset them by hammering and drilling at 7am!

Shops that don't sell sandwiches past 2pm
customers that don't offer you a cuppa!!!!

my old boss, we had mobiles but sometimes they didn,t work so I had a pager and it used to vibrate somehow he always paged me just as I touched something big in a panel, you know it,s dead but the vibration of the pager still makes you jump.also the prat who rang up after I installed a large cable to his garage saying that his rcd kept tripping, asked what he had done he said nothing couldnt understand it as tests all ok several hours later find a dodgy teasmade in bedroom.tested it and guess what? faulty said he found it in loft after tidying up and decided to use it as it brought back memories!

Haha true, how come something always goes bang elsewhere on site just as you are cutting a known dead cable, like the joiners using a nail gun, still makes me jump when not warned..(never are haha)

people who still say 'Ring Main' :ciappa:

and how did we forget ceiling grid tiles which have the metal retaining clips making it impossible to lift without cracking them and cutting yr fingers!!!

Its happened again, ended up on another wobbly scissor lift, seruiously i was feeling sick up there and i was only at 4M, what is it about these lifts that they have to wobble so much. I was using a spirit level on some high level suspended trunking and it was a waste of time the bubble was feeling more queasy than i was.

Cat 2 diffusers that you cut your fingers to ribbons getting in and out and cat 2 diffusers that simply pop out but you spend a lifetime trying to get back in....then spend ages wiping off the fingerprints.

and DBs in tiny cupboards under stairs where you have to make yourself as small as possible to fit in, then spend the rest of the day walking around like the hunchback of notre dame!

no grommets on knockout boxes.....keep seeing this and just today the line conductor on one of these went to earth (through one of these ungrommeted boxes) and went off with a right old bang on a job i was doing....blew the line conductor away...fuse still held though....(BS3036-30A)

Good old fusewire... Don't they use the 30 amp for suspended bridge wire, it is so strong?
