hi im changing a phone point for someone.the old terminals were a and b,orange = A and white = B.the new point has terminals 1 to 6.which should i use.ta folks
 
2 AND 5 .either way round. make sure your new socket is a " master " with a capacitor fitted..if adding extension socket, link 3 on main socket to 3 on extn.

If you have broadband on that phone line reverse polarity can sometimes cause issues with it not syncing, so if you get this, try the orange/white the other way round
