Morning all...

Done PIR yesterday all pretty good.

Just one issue want to see what you chaps think:

'Cooker supply fed on 32a 6mm supply to isolator located in cupboard next to cooker, less than 2m away. Also fed off load of isolator was the supply for the hob ignitor.'

I'm sure the isolator in the cupboard will be ok, because under 2m away. But not so sure about hob ignitor, normally would have put this on a FCU ?

Any thoughts please??

Many Thanks,

Sy

Considerr the current carrying capacity of the igniter load cable...

The original manufacturers instruction would have stated the fuse rating I would gave thought? You may be able to research them online or something. So you'll have the code for the CCC and another code possibly for failing to install fixed equipment to the manufacturers info as BS7671 2008 requires.

on the load side for the ignitor should be a socket and then surely the plug top will be rated accordingly and the mcb is protecting the 6mm cable only?
