I've got a job for next sat and the client has said he has 6 floorboxes in his office and 3 don't work.they are on 2 circuits and when he resets the mcb the other mcb trips! I was thinking crossed legs between the 2 circuits but it must have been ok when installed. Any thoughts?

If you have an MCB tripping then there is a significant fault that can be found. If it turns out to be an RCD tripping it is less clear but as it is instant it should be easy to find.
You would have to provide more detail on exactly which boxes are powered by which circuits and what exactly happens when MCBs are on or off.
It sounds a bit like an interconnected circuit with a fault.
