I have been offered loads of price work which ive not much experience of, i basically want to know if a jobs like a re-wire etc what do you ask for in the way of a deposit? mates have said you can ask for the costs for the equipment needed to do the job and the rest when you complete, then others say half at the begining and rest at end of job?!?!??!??

usually cost of materials at the start, then sometimes get half the labour cost after first fix and 2nd lot once job is complete

That too makes sense coz then u get paid exactly every part of the process!Another thing ive got to price is per socket and per light as a additional which has made me think about price time to actually do the job but is there a rouge amount people normally price this at?ive seen some places price extra sockets at 50 per socket and light fittin (basic rose oendant) at 25 each?!?!?dont wanna price myself out of the game but dont wanna be so cheap its stupid!?
