a Scouser would never make the effort to go all the way to Sheffield on a nicking spree. too much effort. also, he might get mugged going through manchester.
 
There's been 2 or 3 van break ins in my locality. Vans sitting on private drives even. I've got mine covered by CCTV and alarmed, but im really thinking about getting a big chunky lock for the back and side doors

i find that a couple of pieces of 20mm black pvc conduit, side by side, poking out the bedroom window is a good deterrent.
