You're a member of Elecsa, either speak to their technical dept or read the OSG or BGB, it's all in there.do all new circuits have to be rcd protected now or what? i know special locations have to be but what about the rest?
No they don't.
Only circuits of locations containing a bath or shower and some circuits in other special locations.
There are requirements to protect socket-outlets, and some cables concealled in walls, which may mean that protecting the circuit is the easiest and most cost effective method.
In reality 99.99% of domestic installations require RCD protection on all circuits.
Every day we all see something new that makes us laugh. I would love to see that in a domestic.i'm gonna rewire my entire house in steel conduit just to bring that statistic down to 99.98%
