why would 2 rcds trip at the same time on a dual board

Swapped neutrals on RFC's

shared neutral ( on 2 way lights, usually). both RCDs see an imbalance because the suspect fitting takes L form 1 RCD and N from t'other.

do your continuity tests etc, IR test between circuits.

Just carry out testing on each circuit and it's simple.

So everyday might be a school day, but this is so basic, you should of tried to sort it first and then if stuck ask, but come on if you are out there working as a spark and asking these simple questions, you are not competent enough to go out and work on your own or perhaps I've got the wrong end of the stick and you are doing a bit of DIY?

agreed i need more testing experience , done the tests but forgot to IR test between all the neutrals as tel told me before i started

also left a neon socket tester pluged into a socket and forgot about it spent 20 mins looking for fault lol

if one RCD has let go...the other holds....yes...
and vice versa.....
