Discuss rcd trip in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

shared neutral ( on 2 way lights, usually). both RCDs see an imbalance because the suspect fitting takes L form 1 RCD and N from t'other.

do your continuity tests etc, IR test between circuits.

cheers tel , doesnt take long for the wolfs to pounce , still learning boys , dont do much domestic work or testing , as said someone took a N from the lights.

So everyday might be a school day, but this is so basic, you should of tried to sort it first and then if stuck ask, but come on if you are out there working as a spark and asking these simple questions, you are not competent enough to go out and work on your own or perhaps I've got the wrong end of the stick and you are doing a bit of DIY?
