Correct, and the same applies to an internal CPC conductor, in both cases, the steel armouring of the SWA cable then only requires to be earthed at the supply end to provide protection for the cable against penetration and the like.
 
I think I would rather trust a relatively joint-free mechanically protected copper conductor than a lots-of-joints, is-the-mechanical-protection, exposed-to-elements relatively chemically reactive steel conduit. Just my 2p's.
