Hi all can i just ask those of you who have changed a consumer unit for one of your assessment jobs, what you done regarding the service fuse seals.
Did you notify the DNO with your intentions and get them to fit an isolator and then get them re-sealed before your assessment, did you re-seal them using your own seals or did you just leave them un-sealed?

Thinking about using my home for an assessment job. I have inspected and tested my installation and everything is fine now.

I know that the DNO sometimes suprise you by fitting an isolator for you free of charge but i was just curious as to what course of action others have taken

Did my assessment recently on my own house rewire. contacted my elec supplier (british gas) and they fitted an isolater.
Cost about £34 I think.
No problems with my assessment, so I think its the way to go.
