Hi,
So I'm simply trying to replace a noisy fan in my mini cooler as I think the bearing has gone.
Seem a pretty simple case of open it up, unplug and remove the old, insert and plug in the new, job done.
However, for some reason, the new fan(s) doesn't spin up.
The only difference in the fans is the amperage (and the size, I ordered the wrong size first, hence having 2 fans to test). The original is 12v 0.18a, the replacement is 12v 0.12a, the third (mistaken order) is 12V 0.16a. (see attached image)
My question is I guess, is that my problem? The incorrect amperage? or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance,
David

- TL;DR
- Doe amperage matter when changing the fan in an electrical appliance (mini cooler)?
