Requirement for bonding if adding a new circuit

Hi all,

Can someone please clarify the above?

If im adding a new circuit to an existing installation that does not have bonding to the incoming water and gas supply, is it a legal requirement that I add it before I install a new circuit?

Im saying yes but am being told no????

If you are carrying out alterations or additions then the existing earthing/bonding should be adequate for continued use. If the services require protective bonding and it is not there then yes.
