Good afternoon,
We have a fuse switch 100A-415v fairly old as it is Gec. We are planning on reusing it for a control panel with a vsd that will come in at around 40A. I believe to use this existing switch itwould be as simple as replacing the fuses but others are not of the same opinion. I feel like I am missing something but can’t think what ?

Thanks

That is part of a Miniform panel and providing it operates correctly there is no reason not to use it.

Thanks. So if we change out the fuses there should be no issues with the reuse of the switch

Thanks

Is it serviceable?
Does it meet the requirements of BS 7671?

That range of switches is still available, manufactured by GE Power Controls.
They are available in 63A, 100A, 200A & 250A and you can fit any permutation in a ‘5 pack’ stack except for the 250A when you can only fit one per ‘5 pack’ stack.
