Ives seen quite a few of these companies claiming to be rewire specialists.
Can be in and out a 2 bed house fully plastered an d 2nd fixed all in a day. 2 sparks plasterer and an apprentice.

I wonder what makes them special.
Seen alot of their work proudly displayed on facebook. Cables not in zones for a start so wonder what lies under the floors or in the walls.

I've seen this one guy on LinkedIn who does rewires in a day. He's made it his company brand that he gets occupied rewires done in 24hrs and even employs a cleaning company to professionally clean the place afterwards
Sometimes there's a few mutants who are better at everything and we're just lesser beings.

I once went to a fault on a burglar alarm that had been quick and cheap. It was a staple through the cable; it was easy to find though it was clipped to the hallstand. :)

I did some contract work for a large national company who had a contract with a council across the bridge in Wales, had to rewire the flats, was all surface mounted and the building was only expected to last another 15 to 20 years maximum. We did one flat a day from start to end leaving all the old stuff in the metal conduit in the concrete walls and ceilings. There were 4 teams working on the contract with 3 people per flat, we just removed the old sockets and switches before the plasterers covered it up. It was like grown up lego. the new wiring was about the only good thing about the building, the lifts were broke, the windows leaked and the building was well due for demolition.
