I’ve had that happen a few times when stuff comes off eBay from China.....of course I always return the surplus items back to the seller..........:rolleyes:not!

client ofmine is a pub. he's got these carvery warmers. every month one or 2 go down. either burnt out switches or spade terminals fried. sometimes the connector block where the feed cable connects. can't understand why they fail so often. only a 2.2kW element.

Where heating elements are involved, the switch is often the weakest link......at least he’s now got plenty spares!

nope.i've got the spares. he pays a min of £40 + 1 pint of Old Peculier for as visit. he makes on the food. i make on the call-out.

Ah ha! That’s why your fitting cheap switches from China......

the chinese ones, funnily enough, seem to be of better quality that the ones i got from wholesalers. maybe those were made in north korea by dogs before they were eaten.
