In MCs metering guidance version 1.0 it says. .

5. Sealing
The meter and terminal cover should be sealed to ensure the customer cannot access either.

So do we have to seal the FIT meters we install ? and how are you guys seaing your meters and are you using old meter fitters crimps and seals or ?

We / i am mcs through elecsa but as a favour i am also mcs for another company through niceic .
Where as elecsa was probably the hardest / strictest inspection i have ever encountered my inspector never mentioned this , but in contrast the niceic inspector was extremely helpful and accommodating yet he did pull me on the seals !
You can get spare plastic / metal seals from the Cef .

Old meter stylee crimper and seals courtesy of eBay - and yes you are supposed to seal 'em according to my NIC inspector.
