Hi, is it worth buying a Megger 1552 MFT second hand from EBay? I'm aware of the pitfulls of privately buying stuff, I was wandering if there was a way to tell that the multi tester is stolen before committing to buy, are they registered etc..
Thanks

You can request the serial number from the seller. If they say something like 'sorry mate, it's all boxed up ready for dispatch' then go no further.

I'm not sure with megger, but you can with the Police. Should it have been reported stolen then the serial will be on record.
