Welcome to the forum Glendale!

I'm an electrician in Sussex, England myself with various experience on domestic (predominantly), commercial, and light-industrial jobs in my local area. I'm glad to meet someone like yourself who's involved in security systems as I'm considering installing CCTV at home due to two vans being parked on the driveway (I'm an electrician, my brother is a plumber). A few questions if I may:

- A common problem with CCTV is when important actions unfortunately happen outside the field of view of a nearby camera. However I've seen some fantastic 360 videos on Youtube which use multiple cameras combined into one video-feed, which can be panned-around during playback and wondered if 360 footage is a viable option for CCTV? If so, I understand it will use additional memory but how much additional memory does it use compared to the average decent single camera?

- Regarding single traditional cameras, there are a lot of CCTV cameras on the market which claim to be top-brands. Which do you think are the best value-for-money? Ideally the ideal CCTV camera is waterproof, records in colour, very reliable, reasonable quality video, decent frame-rate, no glare in sunlight while able to see using IR in low-light; but I'm not trying to produce a 4k movie and I do understand that when better quality footage is recorded, additional memory is needed which is expensive. So which would you recommend?
