Got a job coming up where the cutomer needs a security light on the side of the house to detect any one coming up their drive at night (long drive) how would you recommend wiring this would you come off a socket to a fused spur down rate then perm feed to the light or off light circuit to a switch obviously whatevers easier for access or overide facility (not sure how to wire an overide facility can anyone help me?

I'd prefer to come off the lighting circuit.
If you can lift floorboards, then you can drill straight through the outside wall.
Often the all in one fittings have circuitry that will allow you to overide the PIR by switching off an on quickly.
