when separating 13amp sockets on different phases by 2/2.5m

-the only concern is physical separation of the sockets and not leads and appliances?


am i right in thinking any risk to customers/users from appliances on different phases is very small?

You are right it is very small.

So small that even the label requirement has the words 'exceeds 230V to earth' in amendment 1 (how many installations do you work on with a nominal voltage exceeding 230V to earth?)

For now though, 514.10.1 uses terms such as 'reached simultaneously' and 'exceeding 230 volts' so best to label.
