In the cold mornings as the sun rises, there is condensation on my panels. I noticed a weird effect on my shaded panel and took a pic. Is this as expected? Dsc05609.jpg

If those cells are warmer I guess they're not producing as well as the colder ones - they could even be resistive?

^^Indeed. Cells are graded (A or B for example) and some manufacturer's panels will have tighter tolerances on cell performance than others. Some will mix and match cells for their economy brands and be more selective for their higher-spec brands.

That looks like delamination - the glass separating from the cell underneath. Not a good sign, especially if they haven't been up for long. Take a closer look and see if it looks like delamination. If so you might be entitled to a warranty replacement. Who is the manufacturer?

That won't be easy to do without putting scaffold up, I could get hold of some binoculars. Would they not look delaminated all the time? Once they have the sun on them, visually they look fine. It is only on 2 panels, both of which are heavily shaded by a chimney until noonish.

They are ET Solar panels btw. Production wise they are exceeding predictions.

I agree with Dan, nothing to do with de-lamination, it's just the condensation burning off different cells at different rates due to minor variations in the cell efficiency, that result in the less efficient cells warming marginally and burning off the condensation faster.
