I am training to be a qualified electrician however I am working for a data company that rarely does electrics.

Is it worth qualifying and with no experience?

And when I do qualify will I be able to get a job with another company with no experience?

Reply ASAP please

Hello Connor and welcome to the Forum.
Experience is an important part of becoming a competent (recognised) Electrician and progress will be easier if you can work with experienced Electricians. What training courses are you planning?

It's like anything use it or lose it . I done a HND in electronics and telecoms when I left school and can't remember nothing as when I left the industry was on its --- and took years to bounce back

You might find that you struggle to complete the course if you dont cover all the criteria in your NVQ. Doing only data wont cover all aspects in the NVQ and they will ask you to gain experiance elsewhere to finish it and qualify
