I fit a lot of showers and a couple of bands I tend to use ,so all the guys & the girls which band and tell me why .

Going back a few years, I used to fit Mira Sports mainly. They were more expensive, but were powerful and never had any issues with them.
Screwfix Gainsborough's however.......they were the worst lol

Agreed with above, the less hassle with water and power the better, it’s not like it’s a really easy job to do.
Water AND electricity is stepping beside my happy place!

Two showers failed this week ,2 year old mira shower sport air max , and a inspiration mx about 3 years old , changed the mx or a triton.
The other customer complaning how much he paid for it £300 pounds , shame .

Shower replacements? I don't do them. A small weeping water leak can cause a lot of damage, and it's something many a spark may find out they are not insured for - only when it's too late and the damage has occurred.

Can’t be as bad as terminating a 45A pull cord with 10 mills

easy if you use crabby or click switches.

I would do a like-for-replacement myself but usually Lady Plumber calls me to do the electrics for her, so I take what I'm given and do as I'm told - as all men should :) .

Most modern showers do the phase shutdown to get the limescale making hot water out of the heating coil to help longevity but I fitted a ‘quite’good triton replacement the other day that didn’t have this feature, so it’s days are numbered with South west’s water going through it.

To be honest Buzz, I didn't think Showers had risen in price that much to pay for them in installments sorry, Mate couldn't resist the joke hope you don't mind?
