Shower isolation?

Does the isolator for an electric shower have to be in the bathroom? The customer has expressed a dislike for pull switches and would prefer a wall mounted switch located inside an adjacent cupboard. Would this comply?

Some would say that the MCB/RCBO would be adequate but good practice says local isolation is a good idea and yes an adjacent cupboard would be OK. Hope its not 10mm as you'll have fun with that in a wall mount.

Couldn't you persuade them to allow you to fit the Crabtree 50A pull switch in the cupboard.

fit a wall mounted switch in the cupboard then!! no harm in that!
