simple kitchen Light fitting

So was it just incorrect swl? And if so which one was the swl?

Finally did it, changed to a new choc bloc, getting flush to the ceiling as good as impossible, changed the other light today in kitchen, works ok, just went into garage and light in there and outside light don’t work, what joys!!!, other fixture in kitchen is completely the same as the other one, so those 3 red wires I put into a choc box, is one of those for the garage?, sorry for being a dumb a##, would love to do a course on wiring...

Looks like that is 3 separate connectors that the reds are joined into?

Yes looks to me also the three lives in the white terminal blocks need to all go together.
