Have a bit of an awkward run at a job and was debating whether it was easier to wire all the interlinked smokes to a Wago box or JB. They are Aiko smoke alarms and wanted to know whether anyone has done this before and would it make any difference?

I was on a rewire and wanted to branch off to provide cable for a future area. I had it in my mind that they had to go from one to the next but no, as Tel says as long as the interconnect is separate you could spider it if you wanted!
They have provided larger terminals for that reason.

I'd probably look at wireless bases to make interlinking easier than something like this.

Always liked Ei (Aico) detectors but size of terminals and wiring space was definitely an issue with them.

Perfectly acceptable IMHO as long as the wago box / JB are fully accessible

Terminal size has improved and I’ve seen smaller areas to make off your cables! ie - every downlight out there! They must have heard you thinking!

Quite common to see a branch (2 outgoing radials) coming off the same breaker. Nothing in the regs to say it's frowned upon.

I've even had 2 3c and CPCs to individual smoke detectors both going back to the CU before now. Just a connector for the interlinks.
