So I suppose I have to sponsor the forum. But maybe it is not the best place to advertise for electricians an electricians forum?

If it is in the "advertisement" section, that is fed from Google AdWords.

As Tony say the ads in the banner at the top of the page are pushed by Google, they're nothing to do with the forum itself as such.

You need to spend some money on Google adwords, my son was in that line of business building accounts up for clients, like Vodafone, Santander etc,

He was nominated fro an award but didn't win for the UNHCR campaign,
