Hi just looking for advice, just been asked if i can wire generator to log cabin. The set up is going to be the only power, there is no other power source to the cabin
there will be 3 double sockets and 2 lights they will just start generator up when they need power i have never done one of these before so not sure iof the best way to go about this any explanation would be greatly appreciated thanks.

When i have worked in temporary generation in the past, we tail in cabins from a generator network on a very regular basis. I would install a small CU in the Cabin, 2 or 4 way, and feed it via a weather proof commando surface mounted on the outside of the cabin to allow for easy disconnection should the cabin need moving in the future. Then wire your internal circuits from the CU as normal. I imagine a 32amp single phase supply coming in to the cabin would suffice, what sort of appliances will you be running in the cabin?

An example

**LOG CABIN**

My bad, didnt notice that, Same method could apply, but for aesthetics, may not be the ideal solution and i imagine a log cabin would be somewhat permanent. Alternatively could a length of SWA be run, armour used as earth and directely lug tailed to Generator > feeding CU

there is just going to be a kettle and television, any ideas on the earthing too do i have to earth the db and also another rod for the generator itself, thanks
