Swa armour feeding TT system

I have installed a TT system at my garage, and it is fed via 10mm 2 core armoured cable, does the armour of the cable have to be earthed via the supply tncs side or can it be glanded and earthed the garage side (TT).
Anyone know the regs ?

The fact its your own house is irrelevant IMHO ........ do you have a copy of the BYB or the BBB?

And also this falls under Part P, which is more onerous in Wales ........... suggest you read up on it.

The armour should be earthed, doesn't matter which earthing arrangement. However I would earth to the system that would give the best disconnection time in case of fault.

If you gland it the garage end how will you provide the cable with earth fault protection?

The armour should be earthed at the supply end.
You should use an insulating gland at the garage end.
As an aside, why did you decide to TT the garage?

Is there any over-current protection for the SWA?

Unless there are extraneous conductive parts in the garage that require main bonding man up and use the main earth all the way, TT'ing an outbuilding when there are no main bonding requirements is for snowflakes.
