Good morning all,

I trust you are well.

I am looking for an electrician who can help install 2 x Tado Smart Thermostats and their extension kit in a residential property in Kent.

The problem is, I bought the products directly from Tado and purchased their installation service but Tado turned around and told me that they only support single and dual relay systems.

Currently, I have a new build home with an Ideal Logic Heat 12 boiler (condensing system boiler with a hot water cylinder). I have 2 heating zones with 2 wired thermostats and a 3 channel programmer (zone 1, zone 2, hot water) next to the boiler by a company called ESI controls.

Tado's extension kit which replaces my current programmer only supports 1/2 relays so they have declined installation saying I should find my own installer. Their marketing material suggests they "care" and actually they have just passed the buck (and the liability) to someone else.

I'm sure if I can get the 2 relays for the 2 heating zones to connect as 1 relay inside tado's extension kit then that should solve the problem. But I have no experience on how to do this. Do I do this at the programmer stage or in the wiring centre?

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
Andy

Hello, sorry to open an old thread. Did you find someone to do this for you or work it out yourself?

Thanks
