basing it on 5 percent (other uses). gone larger cable, as the outgoing circuits on the far board may have large runs too, so ensuring those cables can be potentially smaller

Thought you were going to say 3% which would have explained the 70.0, seriously bad idea selectivity aside already mentioned to try and terminate that size of cable to an mcb.

Why don’t you just use an External incomer kit?

Might be able to get reducer crimps.
If not a suitable isolator/S/fuse to connect Swa in then to DB
