Hello, my friend is moving house and is going through co-ownership, which means a company is putting up 50% of the mortgage, whatever its called in England. Anyway, they are asking for the electrics be tested by an NICEIC approved electrician, but its unclear weather they want the NICEIC test sheets or would they accept just the test results sheet and not the actual NICEIC sheets with the serial number, anybody had to do this ir can tell me any different? Thanks.

A lot of companies are outdated and non compos mentis with regard to this.
The knock on effect is the schemes providing a service for "approving" EICRs which is fairly pointless.

If the company want an NICEIC approved electrician they should also accept Elecsa, Napit, Stroma, BSI, benchmark, BECSA and OFTA electricians.
If they only specify the electrician then the test results should not need to be on the company forms, however then then, I believe, the scheme will not "approve" the EICR.

The only way to find out is to ask or to specify that the electrician is a member of XXXX competent persons scheme and this should be sufficient, if you are lucky.
