well it's that time of year again, thumbs constantly splitting etc. any members wear gloves (thin ) does it help at all ,any recommendations cheers .

If your skin splits with the cold, an electricians first aid comes into its own.... Use PVC conduit glue to form a waterproof barrier, and wrap insulating tape around, if its a finger. The tighter the better.

never suffered from split skin, but a slight graze on arm/s causes excessive bleeding. bog roll and ins. tape instant fix. when get time, maybe a dressing plaster 3" x 2".

I was given a box of latex/surgeon type gloves by a customer yesterday and wore them today and they were really good, were blue though and I looked a complete numpty! Superglue helps to seal up splits.

Thought I was the only one to get these. Mine always split right near the corner of the nail. Thumbs and some fingers.

Whilst we're admitting to ailments anyone else got a massive lump on their wrist (ganglion?) from years of screwing (gforr, gforr). Dr said I have to hit it with a bible but being an atheist there isn't one in the house!
