Hi,
I have a little thermostat... very basic... ( two metals theory.)
think it was orig a thermostat for a fish tank heater.

Im thinking of putting it into the circuit of a small heater, so it will heat
the greenhouse to 70 , then cut out.

Im wondering, should I wire it into the live... red, or the neutral... black ?
thanks for advice

will the thermostat be rated for the crrent you intend to put through it? i doubt it, and i also doubt that your thermostat will be designed for 70deg. if you dont know which conductor to inatll the thermostat into, then may i suggest getting a proffesional electrician in, because this shows a complete lack of understanding of one one the most basic rules in BS7671

better still, buy a heater with a thermostatic control built in.
