Thought you would all like this!

The comments are absolutely priceless!
Her attitude to earthing is...interesting.
And all so she could switch her outside light off from her mobile phone without getting off the sofa...
Pity she's in America, I coulda gotten her to do my MOT next week...:(

of course she is in america, thats where these idiots breed the most!

She says "This ground wire not is really required".
Then that statement is corroborated by several other people in the comments, so it must be true. o_O
She says she checked for voltage and cut the power off but doesn't show herself actually doing it. In an educational video that is VERY important because it compounds the necessity through visual impact.
Then, after not seeing her test for power at the switch she yanks (no pun intended) the wires out with a pair of metal handled pliers.

I stopped watching then and simply despair at the amount of garbage 'educational' and downright dangerous videos there must be on YooChoob. :(

Edit: I did fast forward some of it so I may have missed the actual safety check. But I think I got the gist.

Actually, Martyn...you got it all...she really is that stupid...
and why yank the wires out anyway? Just loosen them!
Plus, she's not nearly as cute as the girl doing the oil change on the Yamaha outboard motor...but that's a different thread, and I can't remember which one!

We're fretting about MF and they're still twisting wires together and kpoking then in to the wall!
I like that the insulation is clearly there for a good reason, but the earth is not really needed, it was presumably the original spark did it for a laugh because they had some green wire to use up.
Also nice to know they have the same thermal bypass issues with cold air blowing around outside their plasterboard tent, we're not the only country building draughty houses.

Seeing that I'm not intending for my house to be hit by lightning then earth wire is no longer needed, so I am in the process of cutting them from all the points in my house....:)
