There is an outbuilding attached to garage and the customer would like the lights to turn off after a while so his family dont alwasy leave the light on. I thought a Pneumatic push button time switch would be a good option as you can ajust time or mayb and standalone PIR. Only trouble is the lights are Fluorscent strip lights. Are the above swithc ok for this. Or will this make premature lamp failure.

Any ideas.

Well anything really Mac. Motion sensor, PIR or Pneumatic swithc i guess are all ok? was just unsure if there are ok for switching fluorscents.

The reason i say this is because at work we installed motion sensors in student accom. These switched on 2d lamps. And after a couple of months we had a hell of a lot of lamp failure and a few ballasts went down.
