Hi , could someone please tell me the correct procedure for testing a time delayed rcd?

What kind of test mate - ramp, 6-step x1/x5/x0.5? If it's S type, select the S type test range on your tester. Cheers.

It is the same as testing an ordinary RCD but the tester may time out before it trips unless you select the time delay option on your tester. This normally (on Megger) delays the start of the test as well so the RCD can settle!

You really need to know your test equipment before you start using it as things may go pear shaped before you know it!

Why would you be testing an s-type at 5x?
