I’m thinking of using one of the schools that do training in 30 days, will one of these work for what I want to achieve? This is what im looking to get out from it.

I want to be able to fit a feed to a shower and install showers.
I want to be able to install extractor fans
I want to be able to fit bathroom lights
I want to be able to fit a feed to a cooker
I want to be able to fit a cooker
I want to be able to fit extra plugs in a kitchen
and I want to be able to fit lights in a kitchen
and last fit new feeds for electrical appliances in kitchens

as you can see I do not want to become a full electrician as rewire houses ect I just want to be able to do certain jobs in the bathrooms and kitchens I fit

any help would be great
regards
john

There must be hundreds of warnings on this site about these kinds of courses, surely you must have read them

To do any of the above you will need to be a competent electrician, its just as much as much being able to asertain the condition of the existing installation your going to be working on as simply adding these parts to it, say there is no spare ways at a fuse board to add your new shower circuit? No main earthing or bonding, no rcd protection? Or you add rcd protection to a circuit and there's an existing earth fault that trips your shiny new rcd unit, how are you gonna overcome these issues after 30 days of training, you will be only become what in this game is called a CHANCER!

My apprentice has done a year at college and has been working with me for about 5 weeks full time hands on experience and he couldn't even begin to tell me what conditions would require rcd protection to a circuit or the adequacy of earthing or bonding of a property we work at, of I gave him a multifunction tester I doubt he could even turn it on let alone use it to get sufficient information on the works you describe then fill out a compliant test certificate afterwards

Do it properly or leave it alone!

2 evenings a week for 2 years, with a day job as an electrician's mate to get practical experience, then you're getting warm.
