Hi guys

I have a design question.. The task is as follows...

There is a room in my company which holds all the servers powered by a main UPS rated at 220-240VAC and 16 amps...

I want a device(s) that will sound a buzzer when room temperature reaches 30 degrees and will cut off the power to the UPS at 40 degrees...

I thought about using a dual thermostat.. It solves the 30 degrees problem easily.. but for tripping at 40 degrees I'm unable to find a dual thermostat online rated for 16 amps...

anyone know a site I can get one from... or any other design ideas?

also it would be nice if once the temperature reaches 40 and the power is tripped, that the power not come back on once the temperature drops below 40 unless someone pushes a manual reset button/switch...

Thanks!

Just take the thermostat o/p to a relay, wire to the coil, supply with the appropiate voltage for the coil. Wire the UPS through the relay contacts Use a no volt on switch for the reset.

Do the same with another relay and thermostat for the low alarm.

Or use a small PLC with a few PT100's

Even better, dont cook your servers! Get an air conditioner!
