i have been requested by the company installing new sub mains to each flat in a block to install a uk power network complaint double pole isolator which will be situated between the flat owners meter and fuse board. (Meter tails)
I normally install a Wylex 100a double
Pole ISO.
Is there a common iso used that UK power networks like?
I suppose a call to UKpower networks would be good but I can’t deal with call centres today

most of the ones ive seen in new builds have been wylex

DNO don't have to comply with BS7671, and therefore don't need to consider 421.1.201.

Last time I checked with my Scheme, they suggested the designer of the install in such circumstance would have to carry out a risk assessment on whether a fire was likely to spread into property.

And before anyone says an isolator is not a 'similar switchgear assemblies'. I'm not saying it is, but when I've asked my Scheme a definition of, I get different answers, depending if there's an 'r' in the month. Just something you need to cover your butt about.

PS seen those Proteus installed in a few newbuilds recently.
