i bought a four way remote controled dimmer about 8 months ago, last night 2 gu10 bulbs blew ( with a bang ! ) now the dimmer that controled these lights just stays on. checked all wirring and put another working light circuit into connections for broken dimmer these lights just stay on, so deffinately dimmer broken.
anyone had problems with these dimmers before? i don't want to replace them if they are unreliable?

I think the problem maybe here that on an incandescent bulb blowing it is probable that a very high current may flow and burn out the dimmer. As it is a remote control one then the controllers should still be OK and it would just need a new receiver.
This would be a function of almost all dimmers that if the bulb blows then they could all fry in the current flow.

yep. time to buy some LED lamps. bin the halogens.
