Evening All

I recently saw a scheme for plumbers to help give their 'expertise' to local charities and foundations in the form of free labour, they fitted out a local youth centre with new rads and a boiler. I think it was called something along the lines of 'heroes of heat'.

I wanted to know if there was an electrical version out there designed for us giving our time to help others in need, but i am struggling to find an outlet.

Im no saint by any means but i guess i grew a heart and a sense of humility.

Anybody got any leads?

I do work for veterans via SSAFA in the local area, they supply any materials needed and I do the labour free, sometimes it simple light changes, although once via the army benevolent fund I installed a new shower circuit with RCD protection so he could have a fancy shower installed as part of a wet room refurb he had done.
Happy to help them as SSAFA helped me out when I left the forces. I also think we have a huge debt to the older veterans of WW2 as some of what they saw and went through is un-imaginable to some people today.
Contact your local Royal British Legion or ssafa office and say you are willing to give your time to help veterans etc..

I also help veterans, police, and firefighters!
and to all you veterans out there regardless of what country you serve,
Thank you for your service.

and youth camps! (boyscouts and girl scouts) I volunteer a lot of time with safety classes.
