I'm planning on mounting my 42" LCD TV to my chimney brest. I want to run all the cables in the chimney brest out of sight. There would be 3 HDMI cables, a power cable and an aerial cable. I've seen an american product called wiremold which would be perfrct but it isn't available in the UK so I'm looking for other solutions.

1. Can I safely run the power cable in the chimney brest into a surge protector socket?
2. The chimney is made of brick, what's the easiest way to drill into it?
3. are there any other options?

Remembering I'm in the UK so can only use UK products

1. Can I safely run the power cable in the chimney brest into a surge protector socket? as long as the cable is secured and not liable to be damaged.
2. The chimney is made of brick, what's the easiest way to drill into it? SDS drill and masonry bit.

3. are there any other options? keep 230V cable and signal cables apart. get a local electrician to do it.

Can I run the power cable supplied with the TV through the chimney? It's long enough

As long as there is no fire in use
